PERSONAL STATEMENT
Located - Brisbane, Australia
I am a polite, energetic, and driven person. I am family orientated and deeply connected to my large group of friends and family. With both Australian and African heritage, I am proud of my background. I enjoy learning and am a very focused person, enjoy my fitness and being outside.GOALS
I will play professionally. I understand the process involved regarding both my schooling and sport, and how important each of them is to getting into college. I am driven with help from my mentors, coaches, the love and support of my parents and family, as well as my own self belief, to achieve my goal as a professional basketball player. As I get older I know my goal to getting to the NBA requires hard work, dedication and willingness to constantly improve, but that is what drives me. I have gained the support of a representative agent, who is already seeking opportunities for me in the United States for college and long term career pathways commencing in 2027.TRAINING ROUTINE
I train with my 4 teams 6 days a week - School First 5 team, Club team, Representative (regional) team and my AAU team.
In the off season I move to cross country running for my school, completing 12-14 kms a week (10 miles), as well as maintaining my Representative and AAU team training. My ON season routine across all 4 teams currently consists of -
6am Gym (1.5 hours)
8am School
1pm Pool Recovery (30 minutes)
3pm Court Training (1.5 hours)
6pm Team Training (2-3 hours)I am currently focussed on speed, plyometrics for agility and lower body stability and strength and game IQ.
Lucas has established himself as a talented basketball player since the age of 12. He has played consistently every year at club level, representative level from age 14, and in the AAU comps in Australia since early 2024 at age 15.
